Lisanti Foodservice of Texas is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and professional Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for managing customer accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, processing payments, and maintaining positive customer relationships while ensuring timely collections and accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports
Contact customers regarding past-due balances via phone and email
Process customer payments, credits, and account adjustments accurately
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications
Collaborate with customer service, sales, and accounting teams to resolve account issues
Review and release customer orders based on credit status when applicable
Prepare and distribute account statements and invoices
Assist with month-end closing and reporting processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Build and maintain professional relationships with customers while handling collections diplomatically
Processing ACH, EFT, Credit Card Payments.
Filing of NSF checks with proper authorities.
Communicate professionally and effectively with attorneys regarding account matters, collections, and related documentation.
Qualifications

Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, accounting, or bookkeeping preferred
Experience in foodservice distribution, transportation, or wholesale industries is a plus
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred
