Laborer

The Town of Westborough Department of Public Works seeks applications from energetic, team-oriented individuals for the full-time position of Laborer. Duties may include all aspects of public works, including tree trimming and removal, drainage repairs, road maintenance, mowing, and snow plowing.

Work is primarily performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Ability to use hand tools, operate power equipment, and drive a snowplow truck strongly desired.

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of experience in public works and/or construction and maintenance activities; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

The position grade is W-3 with a full range of $21.71 to $30.59 hourly depending upon qualifications. Benefits include paid holidays, vacation, sick days, municipal pension, and various stipends.
