About the Role

This role involves directing the financial, budgetary, and resource-management activities of the School, serving as the Treasurer of the School of Law Foundation, and overseeing housing operations and financial aid. The CFO will also be tasked with maintaining the School's eminence in its field and must demonstrate a sustained commitment to diversity and inclusion. Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a graduate degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field, with at least 10 years' experience in managing the financial operations of a complex organization. The role requires a proven track record in budget oversight, operations, and managing professional staff. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a board and staffing board-level committees, as well as strong skills in budgeting, financing, and reporting. Excellent communication, relationship skills, and the ability to lead change in a decentralized, consensus-driven environment are essential. While not mandatory, expertise in fund accounting and experience in a not-for-profit or academic institution are preferred. The CFO must be an independent self-starter with a strong commitment to integrity and the ability to lead a high-performing finance organization that prioritizes client service.
