About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Dean of Development to serve as the chief development officer for the College of Business. The successful candidate will be tasked with securing leadership and principal gifts, as well as significantly expanding the College's fundraising capacity. This pivotal role involves leading the design and execution of comprehensive fundraising and alumni engagement strategies, and working closely with the Dean, academic leadership, and the College's advisory board. The Assistant Dean will also represent Development and Alumni Relations on the College leadership team, manage a high-performing team, and oversee major fundraising initiatives. Applicants for the Assistant Dean of Development position at the company should be experienced in major and principal gifts fundraising, with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure commitments and managing complex donor relationships. The role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a metrics-driven environment. While not mandatory, experience in higher education, managing volunteers, leading teams, and contributing to capital or comprehensive campaigns is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can build visibility for the College through strategic communications and donor engagement, and who is adept at collaborating across various development units.
