About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive level VP of Operations for a growing general contractor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial general contracting, particularly in new construction and renovations. This role is pivotal in providing operational oversight of the preconstruction and project management teams, and the VP will be heavily involved in executive strategy discussions, including business development, client pursuits, and P&L analysis. The ideal candidate should be a proven leader, with the ability to manage a team of 10 or more, and be prepared to take on a hands-on approach in a small but expanding team. To be considered for this position, candidates must have a minimum of 15 years' of commercial construction experience in the Washington DC, MD, or VA area, with a diverse project background and specific experience in new construction projects exceeding $30M. The role requires a leader who is currently or has previously managed a team in a construction operations capacity. The VP will be expected to be actively involved in the day-to-day operations, including project management and preconstruction tasks, and must be a resident of the DMV region, as out-of-state candidates will not be considered. The position demands a professional who can multitask, is adept at problem-solving, and is ready to contribute to the company's growth and success.
