About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Extension to serve as the chief administrative and academic leader for its Extension programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the company's statewide mission, providing leadership in the development, delivery, and evaluation of Extension programs, and championing the role of Extension in the company's land-grant mission. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, a strong commitment to the values of a land-grant institution, and a proven track record in organizational leadership, development, and collaboration. The Vice President will be expected to strengthen relationships with various partners, including county, state, and federal officials, and to grow the resource base to support sustainable funding for Extension programs. Candidates for the Vice President of Extension position at the company should have a master's degree, with a preference for a doctoral degree, and a background that demonstrates a deep understanding of and commitment to the principles of a land-grant institution. The role demands a leader with the ability to build trust, foster transparency, and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience in strategic planning, vision, and change leadership is essential, as is a people-centered leadership style that is grounded in integrity, humility, and empathy. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in revenue generation, resource stewardship, and a proven ability to align investments with strategic priorities to support the growth and impact of Extension programs.
