About the Role

The Company is in search of a dynamic, relationship-driven Executive Director to lead their fundraising efforts in the Syrian communities of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Deal NJ. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding and accelerating the organization's presence and impact in these communities, with a focus on social, emotional, and practical assistance to those affected by medical crises. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include community engagement to raise visibility and deepen impact, representing the organization at various community events, and developing a comprehensive regional fundraising strategy. The role also involves cultivating and stewarding relationships with major donors, foundations, and community stakeholders, as well as providing strategic oversight of regional operations and collaborating with national and regional leadership to ensure the quality and consistency of care for families. Applicants for the Executive Director position must possess strong leadership and relationship-building skills, a successful track record in fundraising within the specified Syrian communities, and a deep understanding of and ability to connect with all segments of the Syrian Jewish communities. The role requires excellent communication, strategic planning, and organizational skills, and the ideal candidate will have experience in the Syrian community and reside in NY or NJ. The Executive Director will be a key player in high-level decision-making, shaping regional strategy, partnerships, and expansion, and will be expected to play a pivotal role in the organization's planning, growth, and expansion efforts.
