About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to spearhead the growth of philanthropic support and donor engagement. This newly established role is pivotal in advancing the organization's mission and ensuring long-term financial sustainability. The CAO will work closely with senior hospital and foundation leadership to oversee the advancement program, providing strategic leadership for all philanthropic initiatives, including annual giving, major and principal gifts, and donor stewardship. The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic frontline fundraiser with a proven track record in securing major gifts and leading successful campaigns. They should be a hands-on team player, adept at building and nurturing strong relationships, and consistently exceeding performance goals. Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a genuine interest in the mission of the organization and a successful record in advancement or development leadership, preferably in a healthcare-related setting. The role requires the ability to cultivate and steward relationships with high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate leaders, as well as a working knowledge of current fundraising techniques. Superior communication and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to lead a team and ensure an inclusive culture. The CAO will also be expected to serve as a credible external ambassador for the organization and to have a Bachelor’s degree, with an advanced degree being preferred. Familiarity with local and regional philanthropic communities and a history of effective collaboration with board members are also key qualifications for this role.
