About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for School Development to lead and maximize fundraising and alumni engagement activities. The successful candidate will be a strategic, inclusive, and intellectually curious professional with a minimum of fourteen years of development experience. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of schools and colleges, managing a team of 21 development and alumni relations professionals, and working in partnership with the Associate Vice President to elevate advancement capabilities in support of the university's strategic priorities. The AVP will be responsible for fostering strong partnerships, driving a culture of philanthropy, and ensuring the success of the next comprehensive campaign. Essential duties include planning and management, fundraising, and serving as a thought leader across the Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) division. Applicants for the Assistant Vice President, School Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a proven track record in fundraising, including experience with major and principal gift prospects.
