About the Role

The Company is in search of an Assistant Vice President for Deal and Cash Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating deal documents into accounting records, identifying and recording investment proceeds, and booking various deal lifecycle events. This role requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to work under demanding timelines, particularly in the funding and closing of private deal transactions. The AVP will also be involved in managing cash positioning, forecasting cash balances, and mitigating process risks. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, as well as participation in cross-functional initiatives to enhance the private deal workflow, is a key aspect of the position. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree, with a CPA and private deal experience strongly preferred. A minimum of 9-11 years' of relevant experience in investment accounting and operations, particularly with alternative investments, is required. The role demands advanced proficiency in financial software and the Microsoft Office suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel skills. Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, SQL, and VBA is a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving process improvements, managing complex legal entity and fund structures, and be adept at setting and monitoring SLAs and KPIs to ensure operational excellence. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and requires a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process enhancements.
