About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of External Engagement to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission. The successful candidate will be a senior leader with a strong background in nonprofit fundraising and external relations, dedicated to the protection and empowerment of refugee, migrant, stateless, and displaced persons. This role is particularly critical in the current global context, where the needs of these vulnerable populations are intensifying. The VP will be responsible for growing and diversifying the organization's revenue, as well as elevating its visibility and reputation. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a multi-year external engagement strategy, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the organization's brand and influence are in line with its mission and strategic plan. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in nonprofit fundraising and/or external relations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. The role requires a proven track record in both individual and institutional giving, as well as experience in communications, brand strategy, and media relations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, an effective leader, and a passionate advocate for the organization's values. They should be adept at engaging with a variety of stakeholders, from donors to the media, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency in at least one additional language is also preferred.
