About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President/Severity Claims Manager to lead a team of liability claims adjusters with a focus on high-severity commercial claims. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred insurance-related designations, a Texas adjuster’s license, and the ability to obtain adjuster licenses in multiple states. A minimum of 5 years' in management roles and 10 years' in handling high-severity commercial liability claims, with a proven track record in managing litigated claims, is required. Key responsibilities for the Assistant Vice President/Severity Claims Manager include collaborating with claims specialists, engaging with various departments to address litigation and best practices, and enhancing the team's proficiency in claim handling procedures. The role also involves efficiently managing the claims department's inventory, overseeing the pursuit of recovery opportunities, and staying informed about industry trends and laws. The candidate will be expected to develop and implement training programs, streamline claims processes, and support the career development of direct reports. Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills are essential, as is the ability to recruit and retain talented team members within the claims organization.
