About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chair for its Department of Pathology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of twelve faculty members in the areas of clinical care, education, and research. This leadership role involves driving the department's mission of healing, education, and discovery, and overseeing the educational activities for medical students and residents, as well as the department's research and clinical programs. The Chair will also serve as the Service Chief for Pathology within the university health system. Applicants for the Chair position in the Department of Pathology at the company should be dynamic individuals with a strong background in the field. The role requires a leader who can effectively manage and support the faculty in their diverse activities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in clinical care, education, and research, and be able to foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the department. A medical degree and board certification in pathology are essential, and a Ph.D. or equivalent research experience is highly desirable.
