About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Finance with a focus on FP&A to join their rapidly growing, VC-backed biotech start-up. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading the FP&A and strategic finance function, including the development of financial modeling, strategic planning, and providing insightful analysis to drive performance. This role is pivotal in establishing forecasting and budgeting processes, working closely with the CEO as an executive business partner, and building KPIs and analytics to support decision-making across the business. The VP of Finance will also be involved in mid and long-term strategic planning, monthly board reporting, and preparing the business for future funding rounds. Candidates for the VP of Finance position should have a background in investment banking, experience in VC/PE firms, or relevant industry experience in a rapid growth biotech, life sciences, or healthtech company. Exceptional financial modeling skills, excellent communication, and a high level of commercial acumen are essential. Experience in a VC-backed tech start-up and in establishing FP&A processes in a similar environment is highly desirable.
