About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its dynamic team. The CFO will play a pivotal role in the organization's strategic leadership, financial management, and operational oversight. This senior leadership position requires a hands-on approach to financial leadership, balancing big-picture strategic thinking with day-to-day activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, managing the budgeting process, and overseeing human resources, facilities, legal, and IT functions. The CFO will also be a key resource for the Board of Directors, supervising an internal team, and an outsourced Controller, and will be expected to enhance collaboration, improve processes, and contribute financial expertise to support the organization's growth. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience, a CPA designation, and at least 10 years' experience as a managerial-level accountant, preferably with a background in associations or non-profits. The role demands a professional with a strong understanding of GAAP, government grants, and experience with financial systems, particularly Sage Intacct and iMIS EMS database. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a forward-thinking mindset, and a high level of integrity. They should be adept at problem-solving, have a collaborative approach, and be capable of leading a geographically dispersed team. The CFO will be expected to demonstrate curiosity, challenge the status quo, and ensure the organization's financial operations are in compliance with regulatory standards.
