About the Role

The Company is in search of a Regional Vice President of Communications and External Affairs to take on a pivotal senior executive leadership role. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide communications, public relations, and external affairs strategies. This includes serving as the regional spokesperson, managing media and crisis communications, and driving executive, internal, and investor communications. The role also involves overseeing digital and social media, brand positioning, and leading communications for acquisitions and major strategic initiatives. Building and maintaining relationships with government officials, stakeholders, and community partners is a key responsibility, as is advising senior leadership on reputation management and strategic messaging. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate healthcare communications, with a focus on media relations, crisis management, and executive communications. A deep understanding of healthcare policy, regulation, and stakeholder engagement is essential, as is the ability to mentor communications teams and manage budgets. Experience in multi-site acute hospital care is preferred, and experience with Union representatives is desired. The role requires an individual with excellent writing, presentation, and leadership skills, who can effectively advise C-suite and board-level executives and play a critical part in advancing the organization's growth, advocacy efforts, employee engagement, and external relations.
