About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its commercial airport, which serves the greater Los Angeles community and international airline customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and embracing the airport's vision, mission, and operational goals, and for inspiring staff to deliver high-performance services. This leadership role involves maintaining a premier customer service-focused organization, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the airport, and advancing air service, infrastructure development, and regional economic impact. The Executive Director will also be accountable for the airport's financial sustainability, leading business and commercial development, and fostering positive relationships with the surrounding community. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business administration, public administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years' executive experience in a relevant sector. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in airport operations, including knowledge of FAA regulations and experience in the planning, design, and construction processes in the public sector. The ideal candidate will be an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) and possess excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Responsibilities include oversight of all airport staff, management of the airport's budget, and leadership in the solicitation and procurement of contracts. The Executive Director will also be expected to engage in continuous improvement initiatives, mentor staff, and represent the airport at various industry and government meetings.
