About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide visionary and collaborative leadership for its technology organization. The CIO will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership of information technology services, ensuring that they align with the academic, research, and administrative goals of the institution. This includes overseeing a wide range of IT operations, from network infrastructure to enterprise resource planning systems, and leading a team of approximately 100 IT professionals. The successful candidate will be a key partner in the development and implementation of technology strategies, with a focus on enhancing the digital experiences of students, faculty, and staff. Applicants for the CIO position at the company should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and ten years of IT leadership experience, with a strong background in strategic planning, budget management, and staff development. The role requires a deep understanding of current and emerging technologies, as well as the ability to align IT strategy with institutional goals. Experience in higher education is preferred, along with a Master’s degree and certifications in cybersecurity and project management. The CIO will also be responsible for financial management, collaborating with EIT leadership to prioritize funding needs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as is a customer service orientation and a commitment to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
