A key aspect of the position is the successful integration of the Sara and Curt Moll Institute for Mental Health and Well-Being, ensuring it serves as a catalyst for interdisciplinary collaboration and societal impact. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology or a related field, a strong leadership background in an academic setting, and a clear vision for departmental growth. The role requires a deep understanding of the external funding landscape, a proven track record in research and grant funding, and a commitment to fostering a collegial, inclusive culture. While specific research focus is open, expertise in developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, or affective science is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a successful record in teaching and mentoring, and will be adept at advancing interdisciplinary partnerships and visibility. The Chair will also be expected to provide effective administrative leadership, including budget management, personnel oversight, and a commitment to student training and scholarly excellence.
