About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Development to play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's long-term sustainability and impact. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing a multi-stream, global revenue strategy and fundraising function, with a focus on stewarding existing revenue streams, identifying new potential sources of support, and developing integrated, data-informed systems to engage a diverse range of funders. This strategic leader will work closely with the Executive Team to lead a global, diversified revenue strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and vision. The role also involves strategic positioning within key markets and cultivating a distinct organizational identity that resonates with a broad and diversified portfolio of funders. As the Chief of Development, the primary responsibilities will include fostering and expanding high-level relationships with philanthropic leaders, institutional funders, and high-net-worth individual donors. The ideal candidate will be a committed people manager, providing mentorship and leadership to a development team, and will be instrumental in enhancing the organization's global resources and influence. This is a key executive position that requires a candidate with a proven track record in fundraising, a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape, and the ability to work in close collaboration with senior leaders across various teams. The role is critical in advancing the organization's fundraising results, diversifying revenue sources, and strengthening its global positioning in the pursuit of a zero-emissions, high-energy planet at an affordable cost.
