About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of Operations to lead and enhance its daily operational functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of operations staff across various functions, including transaction processing, client servicing, and back-office operations. This role requires active engagement in monitoring workflows, resolving escalations, and assisting with day-to-day trade processing. The Head of Operations will also be tasked with owning end-to-end process management, partnering with compliance, risk, and accounting teams to ensure regulatory compliance, and overseeing vendor and counterparty relationships relevant to operations. Applicants for the Head of Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 10-15 years' progressive operations experience within financial services, with a strong working knowledge of physical commodities, products, and back-office processes. The role demands experience in managing and motivating teams, proficiency in operational reporting and data analysis, and a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field. An MBA is a plus. The ideal candidate will also have experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma and be adept at driving automation and technology initiatives to reduce operational risk. Additionally, the Head of Operations will be expected to lead incident response for operational failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
