About the Role
The Company is seeking a visionary and strategic Dean for its College of Nursing. The successful candidate will be an innovative leader dedicated to promoting excellence in teaching, research, professional practice, and service. This role is pivotal in advancing a compelling vision for the College, addressing the critical needs of the nursing profession, and capitalizing on opportunities for interdisciplinary and interprofessional programs and research. The Dean will be responsible for leading the College to new heights of development, with a focus on national leadership in nursing education, and must be prepared to tackle the state's health care needs, including disparities and the unique requirements of rural populations. Applicants for the Dean position must have an earned research doctorate with at least one graduate degree in nursing, prior leadership experience in an academic setting, and credentials that warrant appointment as a tenured full Professor. The role requires a candidate with a strong record in scholarship and research, as well as the ability to generate financial support for the College's goals. The Dean will work closely with the President and other stakeholders to ensure the College of Nursing remains at the forefront of nursing education and is responsive to the evolving health care landscape.
