About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer to serve as a strategic and visionary leader in the management of a significant legal and litigation portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and directing the organization's impact legal and litigation strategy at various levels. This includes providing thought partnership on legal objectives, participating in strategic planning, and ensuring that the legal department's operations align with the company's mission and values. The role demands a leader with a strong background in civil rights and social justice, capable of managing a large and experienced legal team, and fostering a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion. Key responsibilities for the Chief Legal Officer at the company include overseeing the legal department's operations, managing and supporting litigation strategies, and ensuring the highest quality of legal representation. The ideal candidate will have a JD from an accredited law school, a minimum of 15 years of legal experience, and a proven track record of leadership in a legal setting. They should be adept at balancing strategic vision with operational excellence, and be prepared to serve as a compelling external spokesperson. The role requires a practical problem solver with strong organizational skills, business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
