About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP Finance/Controller to lead and manage its financial operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing all financial activities, including budgeting, financial reporting, and audit management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's financial growth and stability, and the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, with a strong background in financial management within the distribution or manufacturing industry. Key responsibilities for the VP Finance/Controller include managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and treasury, as well as the preparation of various financial reports. The role also involves the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, compliance assurance, and collaboration with other department leaders to devise financial strategies. Applicants for the VP Finance/Controller position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree or CPA certification. A deep understanding of the Bill of Materials, manufacturing, cost, and physical inventory is essential, as is proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills. The role requires a candidate with strong analytical abilities, excellent leadership and team management skills, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment. The VP Finance/Controller will be expected to be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, and to demonstrate strong ethics in the management of confidential data.
