About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in the institution's financial vision and long-term stability. The CFO will be the chief steward of fiscal integrity and resource strategy, partnering with colleagues to align financial planning with the company's mission, values, and strategic priorities. This is a transformative moment for the company, and the CFO will be instrumental in modernizing financial systems, advancing strategic resource allocation, and ensuring the company's agility and resilience in the face of changing higher-education dynamics. Key responsibilities for the CFO include advancing a strategic financial framework, strengthening fiscal sustainability and transparency, and cultivating a culture of collaboration and financial literacy. The successful candidate will lead the design and implementation of multi-year financial plans, modernize financial operations, and enhance budget management processes. They will also serve as a trusted advisor to the President, Cabinet, and Board of Trustees, and represent the company externally with financial stakeholders. The CFO must have a Master's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA preferred, and at least ten years of progressive senior financial leadership experience, ideally within higher education or a mission-driven nonprofit organization. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to transparency, and a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory environment of higher education are essential.
