About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its vibrant theater and community center. The successful candidate will be tasked with expanding the organization's community impact, strengthening its audience base and donor support, and diversifying its programming. This pivotal role involves strategic and dynamic leadership, including the cultivation of successful fundraising efforts, directing programmatic resources and vision, financial planning, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the theater. The Executive Director will also be responsible for managing rental spaces to maximize revenue and community impact, as well as setting and achieving long- and short-term financial and fundraising goals. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to community development through equitable access to arts and education are essential for this position. Applicants for the Executive Director role at the company should have a proven track record in senior nonprofit management, with a preference for those who have experience in a cultural institution or community-based nonprofit. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished fundraiser, adept at diversifying revenue streams, and possess superior writing and verbal communication skills. They must be adept at public relations, including branding and marketing, and have a strong organizational skill set. The role requires a willingness to work evenings and weekends and the ability to build and support cohesive and effective teams.
