About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Individual Giving to lead the strategy and growth of philanthropic revenue. This senior fundraising leader will be responsible for overseeing both the Principal Gifts and Major Gifts programs, managing a high-performing team, and personally cultivating a portfolio of significant donors and prospects. The successful candidate will be tasked with setting and executing a comprehensive individual giving strategy, defining clear revenue goals, and building a robust pipeline of high-capacity donors. A key aspect of the role is to elevate the collaboration among all frontline fundraisers and to ensure a high-performance culture with data-driven expectations and accountability. Applicants for the Vice President of Individual Giving position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7-10 years' leadership fundraising experience, with a proven track record of closing seven- and eight-figure gifts. A deep knowledge of the New York philanthropic landscape and strong existing relationships is preferred. The role requires an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across a complex organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the company's mission and global conservation work, and be willing to travel as needed. Responsibilities also include mentoring and managing a team, driving accurate forecasting, and collaborating with various teams to develop compelling funding opportunities.
