This clinical-stage biopharmaceutical organization is at the forefront of targeted protein degradation research, with a focus on delivering new treatments for cancer and inflammatory diseases. The role involves overseeing alliance and program management for research and early-stage development, serving as the strategic partner for external research alliances, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless progression of preclinical programs. Applicants for this role should have a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, with at least 15 years of industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years in alliance or program management. The position requires extensive experience in managing research-stage alliances or early-phase collaborations, a deep understanding of drug discovery and early development processes, and a proven track record of leadership in cross-functional, matrixed environments. The VP will be responsible for establishing and overseeing governance structures, identifying and resolving issues impacting alliance health, and collaborating with various teams to support negotiations and milestone evaluations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to build and lead a high-performing alliance and program management team. The role also involves representing the organization externally and contributing to its strategy, culture, and operational effectiveness.
