About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic leadership and ensure the growth and effectiveness of its animal welfare and humane education programs. The CEO will be responsible for managing the organization's human, financial, and material resources, with a strong focus on maintaining the company's culture and values. This role involves overseeing shelter operations, clinic services, and mission delivery, as well as leading the Executive Team and working closely with the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, a strong and inclusive team player, and will have a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, including fund development and community engagement. Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a graduate degree preferred, and at least 5 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including significant nonprofit fundraising experience, is required. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of managing complex budgets, and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should be adept at building and leading effective teams, and be committed to the mission of the organization. A Master's degree, experience in nonprofit governance, and a background in business analysis and planning are also desirable. The role demands a critical thinker, an exceptional communicator, and a leader who can inspire and motivate others to support the company's mission.
