About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Business and Finance and Chief Financial Officer to play a pivotal role in the institution's strategic and financial leadership. The successful candidate will be a key member of the President's Executive Council, responsible for aligning financial strategy, capital planning, and administrative effectiveness with the academic mission and long-term aspirations of the university. This role is central to the institution's ambition of sustained financial strength, operational excellence, and long-term impact, and will involve oversight of a wide range of areas including finance and planning, human resources, facilities management, campus services, risk management, and contracts administration. The ideal candidate will be an intellectually nimble, strategically oriented, and highly collaborative executive, with a service mindset toward the academic enterprise. They will be a trusted partner to the President, Executive Vice President and Provost, Board leadership, and senior colleagues, bringing creativity and candor to decision-making. An advanced degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred. The role requires a leader who can combine financial acumen with sound judgment and operational leadership, and who is committed to the values of academic freedom, open inquiry, and the development of principled leaders.
