About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and expansion. This includes overseeing school operations, facilities, human resources, technology, compliance, and other network-wide operational systems. The successful candidate will be expected to build and manage high-performing operations teams, strengthen organizational infrastructure for growth, and establish consistent, data-driven operational systems across the network. The role also involves supporting new school launches and expansion, as well as managing legal affairs, risk, and technology. Candidates for the COO position at the company should have a proven track record in achieving operational goals, with at least five years of leadership experience in complex, multi-site, or rapidly growing organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management, be adept at making data-driven decisions, and have the ability to lead effectively in high-growth environments. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for an MBA or related Master's degree. The COO must demonstrate a deep commitment to the mission and values of the organization, particularly in the areas of equity, justice, and serving historically underserved communities. A builder's mindset, entrepreneurial leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement are essential, as is the ability to build trust with school-based operations leaders.
