About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for General Accounting to lead and oversee its general accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with US and Japan GAAP standards, delivering accurate financial reporting, and driving internal control improvements. This role involves maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, implementing updates to accounting standards and procedures, and collaborating with various teams to strengthen internal controls and compliance measures. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, a minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, reconciliation, or auditing within the financial sector, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Experience in change management and process improvement initiatives is preferred. Key responsibilities for the Associate Vice President include mentoring and developing team members, supporting automation and efficiency projects, and acting as a backup for tax filings, regulatory reporting, and other critical accounting functions. The role requires the ability to adapt to evolving business needs, take on additional responsibilities, and proactively engage in special projects. The candidate should have a strong understanding of banking regulations and compliance standards, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment. Flexibility to work beyond standard office hours based on business requirements is also necessary.
