About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing fundraising activities that support the organization's mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a resource development plan, including the solicitation of major gifts, and will work closely with the President, CEO, and Board of Trustees to ensure the effective operation of all development activities. Key responsibilities for the role include maintaining visibility and communication with stakeholders, being metrics-driven, and leading a team to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals.The Vice President of Development will be a key player in the company's pursuit of excellence, and community engagement, and will be expected to embrace and drive change in a dynamic, non-profit environment. The Vice President of Development will also be involved in board development, management, and executive presence, and will be expected to have a strong background in non-profit fundraising, with a minimum of 8 years' of experience in the field. Applicants for the Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree in philanthropic fundraising preferred, and a CFRE certification is also desirable. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in growing and maintaining a donor base, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to manage a sophisticated donor database. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the organization's mission, and values, and will be adept at fostering a positive team spirit and building trusting relationships through transparent communications.
