About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President to lead strategic fund accounting operations for private investment funds. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance, precision, and strategic alignment in a dynamic hybrid work environment. This role involves driving financial reporting, audits, and quarterly closes for complex fund structures, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize accounting processes and support strategic initiatives. The VP will also manage fund launches, investments, and liquidations, and must ensure adherence to SEC custody rules and regulatory standards. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years' fund accounting experience, and a preference for 10 years. Progress towards CPA certification is highly desirable. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and spreadsheet skills, as well as expertise in private funds, hedge funds, or similar investment accounting. The VP will be expected to have a proven ability to manage complex fund structures and compliance requirements effectively, and experience with fee calculations and financial reporting for investment entities is essential. The position also involves representing the accounting function in fund board meetings, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting team development and mentorship.
