About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join its mission-driven leadership team. The CMO will be a visible, process-focused, and relationship-centered physician executive, serving as the senior clinical voice for the hospital. This role is pivotal in enhancing quality outcomes, strengthening medical staff processes, and improving patient flow and clinical efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years' progressive physician leadership experience, be a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Wyoming. A strong background in quality, safety, medical staff leadership, and clinical governance is essential, with a preference for experience in rural or community-based hospitals. The successful CMO will be a servant leader with a strong appreciation for small-town dynamics and a commitment to the mission of compassionate, person-centered care. Responsibilities include acting as the primary liaison between administration and the medical staff, ensuring consistent communication and alignment across clinical operations, governance, and performance improvement. The role demands a leader with operational understanding of workflows across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural areas, and a dedication to fostering a culture of equity, respect, and teamwork. The CMO will also be expected to bring credibility, humility, and operational understanding to the organization, and to be a fair and consistent leader in all interactions.
