About the Role

The Company is in search of a visionary physician leader to take on the role of Chair, Department of Medicine. This key position is pivotal in advancing the dynamic and progressive health system, with a focus on positively impacting the health of patients, families, and communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning departmental goals with the medical center's strategic priorities, fostering a collaborative and high-quality clinical environment, and leading the department in a way that is characterized by exceptional quality, teamwork, and positive relationships. The Chair will also be instrumental in capitalizing on opportunities to advance clinical services and will support a strategic plan that aligns with the objectives of the integrated health system. Applicants for the Chair position must hold an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, with current board certification in Medicine or one of the Medicine subspecialties. A strong academic background, with a preference for current academic rank commensurate with Associate Professor or Professor, is essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in recruitment, mentorship, and development, as well as enhancing operational performance and culture. The ideal candidate will be a visible and approachable individual with a transparent, proactive communication style, capable of building trust across a broad range of constituents. While not mandatory, an advanced degree in a healthcare or business-related field is desired, and the Chair will be expected to maintain a component of clinical activity alongside administrative duties.
