About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chancellor to serve as the chief executive officer of its statewide community college system. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, responsible for policy development, fiscal and administrative oversight, and statewide community and legislative relations. This role demands a prominent and visible leader who can inspire a shared vision for the future, ensure the quality of education and services for students, and foster strong partnerships with government, business, and other educational institutions. The Chancellor will also be tasked with leading the system through a time of change and opportunity, and must be a relentless advocate for students, with a commitment to excellence in learning and service. Applicants for the Chancellor position at the company should have a proven track record of innovative and collaborative leadership, strategic planning, and policy setting. The ideal candidate will be a transformative leader, capable of guiding the system through a period of growth and change. Experience in managing and leading change in large, complex organizations is essential, and a background in a multi-campus system or a similarly complex industry is highly valued. The role requires a charismatic individual who can build shared ownership around a vision for the future and who is a respectful manager and a credible leader. While not mandatory, an earned doctorate or terminal degree is preferred, and candidates with extensive business leadership experience and an advanced degree in a related field will also be considered.
