About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the team in the adoption of emerging technologies and make strategic decisions regarding the use of SaaS solutions versus the development of proprietary solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering CI/CD processes, managing the technology stack, and driving the adoption of new engineering practices to ensure continuous improvement. This role also involves advocating for a long-term tech roadmap that enhances scalability, reduces operational burden, and prioritizes the reduction of tech debt. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and leading technical discussions to ensure the delivery of high-quality, well-engineered solutions is a key aspect of the position. Applicants for the Head of Engineering role at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with 10-12 years' of experience in software engineering, including system design, architecture, and scaling. The role requires experience in managing tech managers, tech leads, and senior individual contributors, as well as a strong background in .NET, AWS, IaaC, distributed data frameworks, Python, and various data processing tools. Hands-on experience with DevOps and continuous integration tools, strong Agile proficiency, and a background in a regulated industry, particularly financial services or fintech, are essential. The ideal candidate will also possess strong interpersonal skills and be adept at building collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.
