About the Role
The Company is in need of a General Counsel with a focus on Contracts and HR. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including overseeing all legal aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing expert legal advice to the executive team. This role requires a strategic and experienced professional with a background in corporate law, contract negotiation, and direct oversight of HR activities, particularly in a manufacturing and distribution environment. Key responsibilities for the General Counsel include reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, developing standard terms and conditions, and overseeing corporate governance and compliance matters. The role also involves managing litigation, vetting and selecting local counsel, and handling a variety of special projects. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor degree, a minimum of 8 years' legal experience, and a preference for those with at least 3 years in corporate law. Strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to make sound legal decisions under pressure are essential for this position.
