About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for AI Security Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of the AI security program, which includes developing and maintaining an AI security strategy and control framework, partnering with various teams to build secure patterns for AI technologies, and implementing safeguards against AI-specific risks. The role also involves contributing to the development of policies and guidelines for safe AI usage, building secure-by-default tooling and reference architectures, and integrating AI safety and security controls into CI/CD pipelines. The VP will be a key player in facilitating threat modeling sessions for AI/ML systems, implementing monitoring for AI behavior, and developing dashboards for metrics. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with teams to build incident response playbooks for AI-related events and serving as a partner for engineering, data, product, and risk teams. Applicants for this role at the company should have significant experience in cybersecurity, typically 8 years or more, with a strong background in security engineering, platform engineering, cloud security, or applied cryptography. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, Kubernetes, network and identity security, CI/CD pipelines, and application security tooling is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of LLM architectures, ML pipelines, and AI-specific threats, as well as proficiency in scripting or programming in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages. Experience in influencing technical decision-makers and driving cross-team initiatives is also a key qualification. A Bachelor's degree, relevant technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience is required, and professional certifications in the field are valued.
