About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Construction Materials Testing (CoMET) unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding the general policies and guidelines established by the corporation, with a focus on maintaining client relationships and overseeing general operational activities. This role involves being the technical lead for the CoMET unit, ensuring the quality of all projects, and managing budget expectations. The VP will also be tasked with leading a team of 5-6 direct reports, coordinating with clients, and working with other department managers to meet the unit's personnel and equipment needs. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 9 years' experience in geotechnical and construction materials engineering, and a PE license. The role requires the ability to develop and review technical and cost proposals, track expenses, and develop quarterly and annual plans for the CoMET team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performance evaluations, be proficient in CAD and Smartsheets, and have a proven track record of maintaining stakeholder relationships and delivering satisfactory results.
