About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of providing LGBTQIA+ affirming resources that enhance health, strengthen families and communities, and promote education and advocacy. The CEO will be responsible for maintaining and developing funder relationships, leading with a deep understanding of community needs, and driving a forward-thinking strategic vision. This role requires a leader with a proven track record in executive management, organizational development, and a strong background in fundraising, particularly in the areas of individual major donor, corporate, and institutional giving. The ideal candidate will have experience in community healthcare programs, a background in healthcare administration or public health, and a commitment to pursuing health equity. The successful CEO will be a charismatic and engaging leader, adept at navigating current threats while mapping a long-term vision. They must possess exceptional communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to engage diverse audiences. A values-driven approach, with a focus on transparency and accountability, is essential. The role demands a leader with a strategic mindset, capable of balancing mission with sustainability, and experienced in change management. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors and the executive team to ensure the organization's continued growth and impact, particularly in the face of the growing threats against the LGBTQIA+ community. A bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree in a related field being a plus, and a strong understanding of the social determinants of health and the political and social nuances of operating a LGBTQIA+ centered nonprofit.
