About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Lending Officer to provide strategic leadership and direction in all lending activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the growth of a sound loan portfolio, maintaining legal and regulatory compliance, and contributing to the company's success by fostering innovation, competitiveness, and profitability in its lending products and services. This role demands a senior leader with a proven track record in commercial banking, particularly in the areas of commercial credit review and commercial credit experience. The Chief Lending Officer will be expected to make critical loan decisions, manage risk, and lead a team of commercial lenders in underwriting and approving credit requests. Applicants for the Chief Lending Officer position at the company should be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and have the ability to influence their own development. A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance is required, with a preference for a Master of Business Administration. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' commercial banking experience, with at least 5 years in a related credit role, and a background in direct lending and lending/sales management. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is proficiency in the Windows Office Suite. The role also involves coaching and developing lenders, ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures, and managing accounts for customer retention and performance.
