The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to production, ensuring that the products are not only emotionally engaging and trend-forward but also cost-effective and in line with brand objectives and market demand. This role demands a leader with a strong background in consumer or toy products, capable of combining creative leadership with operational excellence, and who can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key responsibilities include defining and executing the product development strategy, leading and mentoring high-performing teams, driving new product ideation, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery. Applicants for the Vice President of Product Development position at the company should hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, product design, or a related field, and have a minimum of 10 years' progressive leadership experience in product development or management, preferably in the toy industry. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and launching successful products at scale, as well as strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product lifecycle management, innovation frameworks, and go-to-market strategy, and experience in managing budgets, timelines, and organizational growth initiatives. Additionally, the role involves building strategic partnerships, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and may require travel to Asia for factory visits.
