About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Real Estate Reporting to take on a pivotal role in leading the accounting and financial reporting function. This executive will be responsible for the preparation and review of GAAP-compliant financial statements, managing the accounting for a diverse portfolio of real estate investments, and overseeing internal controls and financial processes. The role also involves supporting strategic growth through the accounting of acquisitions and dispositions, coordinating with external partners, and ensuring compliance with financial agreements. The successful candidate will be a key player in driving organizational growth, strategic acquisitions, and system modernization within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Candidates for the Vice President of Real Estate Reporting position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an advanced degree being preferred. A CPA is required, and Big 4 experience is highly valued. The ideal candidate will have 8-15 years' of progressive accounting experience, particularly in real estate portfolio and fund management, and a proven track record of leading accounting teams. Expertise in GAAP, fund and partnership accounting, and financial reporting for real estate investments is essential. The role demands a professional with strong process improvement skills, proficiency in technology, and a demonstrated ability to implement new systems and automation. The candidate should also have experience in managing relationships with third-party administrators, auditors, and investors, and possess exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
