About the Role

The Company is in search of an Assistant Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (AVP/CHRO) to provide strategic leadership and executive oversight of all HR functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive human capital strategies that align with the organization's mission and strategic plan. This senior executive role involves serving as a key advisor on HR matters, leading the design and assessment of policies and programs to support a high-performing workforce, and ensuring compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. The AVP/CHRO will also be a trusted partner to senior leadership, driving change management initiatives, and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and operational effectiveness. Applicants for the AVP/CHRO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, public administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years' professional experience in HR, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role. A Master's degree and professional HR certification are preferred. The role requires a proven track record in HR strategy development, executive-level advising, and managing complex HR operations. Experience in collective bargaining, labor relations, and contract administration is essential. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of employment laws, best practices, and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in a higher education or public-sector environment. Strong communication, leadership, and relationship management skills are also necessary.
