The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a clear, forward-looking vision for lending that aligns with the organization's financial strength, growth ambitions, and member needs. This includes diversifying the loan portfolio, leading a multi-year transformation of the lending platform, and ensuring sound credit quality and disciplined underwriting practices. The CLO will also be a central change leader in the organization's broader transformation, with a focus on infrastructure, efficiency, and scalability. Candidates for the CLO position at the company should have an executive mindset, be energized by the opportunity to build and shape a lending organization, and be motivated by a long-term leadership role. Extensive leadership experience in consumer, real estate, and member business lending within a credit union or community-oriented financial institution is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex loan portfolios, driving profitable growth, and maintaining strong credit discipline. Strong background in SBA lending, experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac products, and the ability to navigate regulatory environments are also required. The CLO will be expected to be a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a data-driven decision-maker with a strong financial acumen.
