About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Mission to lead and oversee the organization's ministry, mission, and culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for articulating and demonstrating a commitment to the organization's core values and mission, as well as defining and operationalizing the mission strategy to align with growth priorities and community impact. This role involves the development, implementation, and maintenance of all ministry programming and events that provide spiritual care for staff, volunteers, and clients. The Vice President of Mission will also be tasked with overseeing the onboarding, training, and engagement of the mission team, and will be expected to collaborate with operational and administrative leaders to ensure the integration of ministry for clients and staff. Applicants for the Vice President of Mission position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related area or at least three years of experience in a leadership position, with a preference for those holding a related Bachelor's degree and five years of leadership experience. A minimum of three years of experience in Christian ministry is required, and the candidate must be willing to become commissioned as a minister within the first eligible year of employment. The role demands a deep understanding of organizational culture, employee engagement, and change dynamics, as well as the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics with discretion and influence. Strong communication, collaboration, and pastoral care skills are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to think beyond programs to drive system-wide alignment and long-term impact. The Vice President of Mission will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining KPIs tied to mission impact on employees, clients, and volunteers, and for overseeing the organization's culture committee to drive engagement initiatives.
