This leadership role requires a hands-on approach, strong accounting expertise, and the ability to partner closely with executive leadership to drive operational efficiencies, manage regulatory compliance, and provide actionable financial insights to support business objectives. Applicants for the Vice President, Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master’s degree and CPA designation strongly preferred. A minimum of 4-7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including management of accounting operations, is required. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in tax compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, GAAP accounting, internal controls, and audit processes, particularly within the financial services, investment management, real estate, or related industries. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial reporting systems, accounting software, and financial modeling tools is essential, as are strong leadership, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across departments, and translate financial data into actionable business insights is also a key attribute for this position.
