About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Tax to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the tax function, providing essential support to the firm's direct lending and structured credit platform. This role involves close collaboration with finance, legal, and investment teams, and the primary responsibilities include overseeing tax compliance and reporting for various investment entities, managing a range of tax returns and payments, and leading the preparation of tax workpapers and investor reporting. The Vice President of Tax will also be involved in strategic tax planning, structuring, and optimization initiatives, as well as managing tax implications related to new fund launches and cross-border investments. Applicants for the Vice President of Tax position at the company should have 6-10+ years' of relevant tax experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in asset management, private credit, private equity, or hedge funds. A CPA is strongly preferred, and an MST or advanced tax degree is a plus. The role requires a deep understanding of partnership taxation, fund structures, and credit strategies, as well as the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across different teams are essential for this position. The Vice President of Tax will also be responsible for coordinating responses to tax notices and regulatory inquiries, and assisting with investor-related tax matters.
